General Description 

CytoFLEX LX is a superior sensitive flow cytometry analyzer. It has five separate lasers: UV (355 nm, 20 mW), Violet (405nm, 80mW), Blue (488 nm, 50 mW), Yellow-green (561 nm, 30 mW), and Red (638 nm, 50 mW). The system is equipped with forward (FSC) and side (SSC) scatter detectors and 19 fluorescence detectors: 

• UV 355 (405/10, 525/40, 675/30) 

• Violet 405 (450/45, 525/40, 610/20, 660/10, 763/43) 

• Blue 488 (525/40, 610/20, 690/50)  

• Yellow-green 561 (585/42, 610/20, 675/30, 710/50, 763/43)  

• Red 638 (660/20, 712/25, 763/43) 

CytoFLEX LX can sample conventional 5ml tubes as well as 96-well plates. The operation of the instrument is controlled by the CytExpert software. 

CytoFLEX SRT cell sorter

General Description 

CytoFLEX SRT is a fixed alignment benchtop conventional cell sorter. It uses four high-powered lasers: Violet (405 nm, 80 mW), Blue (488 nm, 50 mW), Yellow-green (561 nm, 30 mW), and Red (638 nm, 100 mW). The system is equipped with forward (FSC) and side (SSC) scatter detectors and 15 fluorescence detectors: 

• Violet 405 (450/50, 525/40, 610/20, 660/10, 780/60)  

• Blue 488 (525/40, 690/50)  

• Yellow-green 561 (585/42, 610/20, 675/30, 710/50, 780/60)  

• Red 638 (660/20, 712/25, 780/60). 

The tube holders for 1.5 ml, 5 ml and 15 ml are provided. There is a multi-well plate sorting module for a variety of plates including 384-well format and slides. Index sorting is capable of single-cell applications. CytoFLEX SRT can sort up to four populations simultaneously. The is one 100 µm integrated nozzles available. The operation of the device is controlled by the CytExpert SRT software. 

BD FACSDiscover S8 cell sorter

General Description 

BD FACSDiscover S8 II is a spectral and imaging high-speed cell sorter. It uses five lasers: UV (349 nm, 30  mW), Violet (405 nm, 50 mW), Blue (488 nm, 100 mW), Yellow-green (561 nm, 50 mW), and Red (637 nm, 100 mW). The system is equipped with forward (FSC), side (SSC) scatter detectors and axial light loss (ALL) for blue and violet lasers, 78 fluorescence detectors covering full spectrum of emission and 3 imaging detectors: 

Spectral detectors: 

• UV 349 (22 UV detectors covering 365 – 860 nm) 

• Violet 405 (20 Violet detectors covering 410 – 860 nm) 

• Blue 488 (16 Blue detectors covering 495 – 860 nm) 

• Yellow-Green 561 (12 Yellow-Green detectors covering 570 – 860 nm) 

• Red 637 (8 Red detectors covering 645 – 860 nm) 

Imaging detectors: 

• Blue 488 nm  

• FL1: 534/46 (FITC, GFP, AF 488, BB 515) 

• FL2: 600/60 (PE, PE-CF594, AF 594, RB 613) 

• FL3: 788/225 (PE-Cy5, PE-Cy7, BB 700, RB 670, RB 705, RB 744, RB 780) 

BD FACSDiscover S8 can sort up to six populations simultaneously based on spectral and imaging signals. The variety of particle sizes and speed of sorting can be accommodated thanks to nozzles available in three sizes (85 µm, 100 µm & 130 µm). The tube holders for 1.5 ml, 5 ml, 15 ml, and 50 ml are provided. There is a multi-well plate sorting module. The sorter is in laminar hood BSL2. The operation of the instrument is controlled by BD FACSChorus software version 6.3.
